Laura & Luca’s romantic alfresco wedding in Abruzzo, Italy

An alfresco Italian wedding in Abruzzo, with outdoor wedding breakfast around a sparkling swimming pool was the perfect setting for Laura and Luca’s day.

An alfresco Italian wedding in Abruzzo was the perfect choice for Laura and Luca. Both families come from the region and the couple wanted to share the Abruzzo traditions of good food and local culture with their friends and family. Abruzzo has a rich, colourful landscape with a mix of sea and rolling hills. The region is renowned for supplying great quality meat and well known for it’s excellent food, hospitality and ancient traditions.

When the big day arrived, Laura and Luca got ready separately, each of them at their parents’ house. They married in Saint Maria Assumpta Church in Monte Mosciano, S.Angelo in the Teramo Province. It was a very emotional ceremony which concluded with a light aperitivo with Spumante in front of the church.

After the service, Luca and Laura drove to the most romantic of spots with far reaching views over hills, fields and an historic castle. Their photographer, Andrea Pinacci, made the most of the perfect location, photographing the couple against the setting sun.

When it was time for their wedding reception, the couple drove to their venue, the Villa San Marco in Tortoreto, Teramo. In true Abruzzo style they invited many guests to the meal. Tables were set on the lawn, laden with local food, under a canopy of festoon lights. The Villa offered a truly amazing location for their alfresco Italian wedding where family and friends danced the night away, poolside, under the stars.
