My love of flowers started at a young age with being involved with Young Farmers Competitions. In particular, the Floral Art, which I won several times at County Level and also went onto National level to compete against Young Farmers from across the Country. I trained at De Montfort University at the Riseholme Campus near Lincoln and gained a National Diploma in Floristry and then a Higher National Diploma in Floristry Management & Interior Styling. During various work experiences, I worked in Roundhay, Leeds and also in West Hampstead, London as the tutors liked to send students as far and wide as possible. After finishing my studies, I worked in London for a while but missing the green fields of Leicestershire I came back to my home county and bought a flower shop which I owned for 6 years in the picturesque Rutland town of Uppingham. I currently work from a workshop near Market Harborough concentrating more on the Wedding, Party and Sympathy side of floristry.
