Carriage Hall Wedding Fair, Summer 2017

On Sunday 2nd July Buckinghams Wedding Fairs were back at the fantastic Carriage Hall in Plumtree Notts to kick off July with a fabulous Summer Wedding Fair. I’d been watching the weather for a few days and it was alternating between cloud and rain so we put in an order for sunshine and it was delivered bang on time. Fifteen amazing suppliers attended the event, many of whom you can find & follow in my planning hub so if you forgot to take a card or want to get a quote you can easily get in touch via the hub or drop them an email. Either way if you were there I’m sure you’ll agree they put on a spectacular display and our heartfelt thanks go out to all of those suppliers who made the effort to create something truly amazing for our visiting brides and grooms.

The food trucks and hog roast by Roast Events were well received and tasty. After tasting a sample pizza slice, Brian and I ended up buying two pizzas from Tom at The Peel Wood Fired Pizza Co. to demolish when we got home. It was so much nicer than having to peel potatoes after such a busy day and Ralphie especially enjoyed his tiny nibble of the crust (one of his favourite treats!).

Hiden Floral Design created the most beautiful of floral displays that even wedding fair hardened suppliers commented upon. Featuring show stopping tall candelabras, stunning arrangements and pretty bouquets Marco & Jen’s stand really was stunning. Paul Martyn kept the room buzzing and entertained the crowds with a selection of vocals and saxophone sounds. The Carriage Hall treated visitors to a welcome glass of bucks fizz and The Split Screen Coffee Company were a hit with their speciality coffees and cakes.

Beautiful wedding dresses were on display by Shade Bridal and the Cherished Bridal Boutique. L.O.V.E. Letters with a twist from Love In My Life looked simply gorgeous whilst photographers A Big Neon Glitter and Martin Neeves Photography showed off their stunning portfolios. Our friends from 1st Galaxy Fireworks offered couples the opportunity to light up the sky in celebration of their big day.

The feature top table was created by a collaboration of The Cake Story, Modern Heritage Styling, & Lisa Jayne Creative with a pretty bridesmaid dress by Cherished Bridal Boutique and flowers by Sophie’s Flower Company.

We had a fabulous turn out once again so luckily Brian and I had packed extra goody bags for those who pre-registered at the last minute! We’ve already had feedback that the venue has taken bookings and suppliers too have consultations and bookings for dates as early as August 2017 and beyond! It really is the best thing to hear that couples found exactly what they were looking for.
