Le Jardin | Ian Stuart 2018 Collection

Le Jardin | Ian Stuart 2018 Collection

‘Le Jardin!’

A celebration of nature by the world’s most inspiring artist.

Ian Stuart creates a style of gown that cannot be found in any other bridal wear label. His couture draping techniques, use of colour, texture, unusual appliques, tonal embroideries and stunning laces create an aesthetic that is both unconventional and undeniably beautiful.

For his 2018 collection, Ian has focused on capturing themes of nature within his designs. Weaving together beautiful butterflies, multi-coloured flowers, Japanese cherry blossom lace, scattered petals, waterfall textures and cascading roses.  This collection is a reflection of the perfect beauty found within the natural world.

Also celebrating the artistic talents of man, Ian has studied the techniques of the traditional Japanese kimono and obi, mixing fabrics and wrapping them around the body, creating a delicately textured look that is fresh, exciting and extremely flattering.  Ever inspired by his favourite era, Ian has paid particular attention to the dramatic draping of 1950’s designer Charles James and reimagined his heavenly style for the modern bride.

‘I am not tied to trends, only beauty’ is Ian’s heartfelt message; designing for that breath-taking moment when a bride is first laid eyes upon and not for the latest fashion trend.

We are certain that ‘Le Jardin’ will take your breath away, and remind you what it’s like to fall in love with a wedding dress …

LOROS Bridal Event

LOROS Bridal Event

Say yes to the dress, for less! Hundreds of brand new wedding dresses all under £200 at The LOROS Bridal Event

On Thursday 12th October, LOROS By Design Shop, in Leicester’s High Street, will be hosting a free bridal event, which will have hundreds of beautiful wedding dresses up for grabs.

With some of the dresses originally selling for the price of £2,000 this is the perfect opportunity for brides to literally say yes to the dress, for less.

By Design shop manager Abi Jarrom said: “For one night only, we will be transforming our entire By Design Shop into a beautiful wedding showroom, with a huge range of beautiful gowns available for brides-to-be.” They will have a number of brand new dresses in a variety of styles and sizes that have been kindly donated by local organisations, whilst some of the dresses are pre-loved and have been given to them by former brides. Ranging from strapless gowns to beaded vintage beauties, there really is a style to suit every bride.

With some dresses originally priced at nearly 10 times the amount we’re selling them for, they would be an opportunity missed if they didn’t pop in, even just for a browse. They received a donation of more the 150 brand new wedding dresses from local wedding businesses. As well as bridal gowns, there will also be a range of bridesmaid dresses and mother-of-the bride outfits available to try on, including all the much-needed accessories like shoes and hats.

Whilst brides are buying their dream dresses, they will also be part of something amazing by giving to a fantastic cause and helping LOROS to continue caring for terminally ill people, making their gown buying experience one that really is that little bit more special.

The event falls in this year’s annual Hospice Care Week, a national campaign showcasing the work of Hospices, like LOROS, around the country.
LOROS Bridal Event is on 12th October, from 4pm until 8pm. For more information visit

Zara and Pete’s Real Wedding at Prestwold Hall | Dottie Photography

Zara And Pete’s Real Wedding At Prestwold Hall | Dottie Photography

A love of travel and vintage chic brought this real wedding to life

Prestwold Hall set the scene for the wedding of Zara and Pete, providing a stunning backdrop for the work of Dottie Photography. Bride Zara shared some words with Buckinghams to shed some light on her beautiful wedding day and the process leading up to the big event.

How did you meet – tell us a little about yourselves?

We met at university in 2005. Pete was in his second year studying Geography, and I (Zara) had just started my Biology degree. Since then we have done a lot of growing up and travelling until we eventually moved in together in 2009, renting a flat in Fulham.

Tell us about the proposal – where, when, how?

It wasn’t until January 2014 that Pete finally proposed to me, nearly 9 years after we first met! He suggested we go for a walk in central London like we used to when we were at uni. We made our way towards a little spot on the river where we used to sit and chat and, once I’d finished the scotch egg I had insisted on buying just before we got there, Pete surprised me by dropping on to one knee. There was a beautiful vintage diamond ring staring back at me. I was shocked, but of course, I accepted straight away!

How did you find the wedding planning process?

The planning process was great fun if a little stressful at times! We had never appreciated how much time could be spent choosing a font or deciding a specific hue. I really enjoyed being creative and making our ideas come to life.
