Lavender Wedding Flowers By Julia Dilworth Florals In Leicestershire

Lavender, Olive foliage and Rosemary just says ‘Provence’!

Lilacs, purples and ivories were the main theme running through this relaxed wedding marquee set up. Flowers included Lavender, Clematis and Roses with lots of Ruscus foliage garlands running through the spiders web of fairy lights in the marquee ceiling. The bride carried the central purple and lilac posy and the bridesmaids carried the predominantly ivory posies with the flowergirl carrying the basket. The boys wore buttonholes of Rosemary, Lavender and Eryngium Thistles to match.

My love of flowers started at a young age with being involved with Young Farmers Competitions. In particular the Floral Art, which I won several times at County Level and also went onto National level to compete against Young Farmers from across the Country.

I trained at De Montfort University at the Riseholme Campus near Lincoln and gained a National Diploma in Floristry and then a Higher National Diploma in Floristry Management & Interior Styling. During various work experiences, I worked in Roundhay, Leeds and also in West Hampstead, London as the tutors liked to send students as far and wide as possible.

After finishing my studies, I worked in London for a while but missing the green fields of Leicestershire I came back to my home county and bought a flower shop which I owned for 6 years in the picturesque Rutland town of Uppingham. I currently work from a workshop near Market Harborough concentrating more on the Wedding, Party and Sympathy side of floristry.
