Highlights: The Carriage Hall Summer Wedding Fair

All The Fun of the Wedding Fair

On Sunday 2nd July Buckinghams Wedding Fairs were back at the fantastic Carriage Hall in Plumtree Notts to kick off July with a fabulous Summer Wedding Fair. I’d been watching the weather for a few days and it was alternating between cloud and rain so we put in an order for sunshine and it was delivered bang on time. Fifteen amazing suppliers attended the event, many of whom you can find & follow in my planning hub so if you forgot to take a card or want to get a quote you can easily get in touch via the hub or drop them an email. Alternatively you can use my FREE Quote-Me-Happy service (more details here). Either way if you were there I’m sure you’ll agree they put on a spectacular display and our heartfelt thanks go out to all of those suppliers who made the effort to create something truly amazing for our visiting brides and grooms.

The food trucks and hog roast by Roast Events were well received and tasty. After tasting a sample pizza slice, Brian and I ended up buying two pizzas from Tom at The Peel Wood Fired Pizza Co. to demolish when we got home. It was so much nicer than having to peel potatoes after such a busy day and Ralphie especially enjoyed his tiny nibble of the crust (one of his favourite treats!).

Hiden Floral Design created the most beautiful of floral displays that even wedding fair hardened suppliers commented upon. Featuring show stopping tall candelabras, stunning arrangements and pretty bouquets Marco & Jen’s stand really was stunning. Paul Martyn kept the room buzzing and entertained the crowds with a selection of vocals and saxophone sounds. The Carriage Hall treated visitors to a welcome glass of bucks fizz and The Split Screen Coffee Company were a hit with their speciality coffees and cakes.

Beautiful wedding dresses were on display by Shade Bridal and the Cherished Bridal Boutique. L.O.V.E. Letters with a twist from Love In My Life looked simply gorgeous whilst photographers A Big Neon Glitter and Martin Neeves Photography showed off their stunning portfolios. Our friends from 1st Galaxy Fireworks offered couples the opportunity to light up the sky in celebration of their big day.

The feature top table was created by a collaboration of The Cake Story, Modern Heritage Styling, & Lisa Jayne Creative with a pretty bridesmaid dress by Cherished Bridal Boutique and flowers by Sophie’s Flower Company.

We had a fabulous turn out once again so luckily Brian and I had packed extra goody bags for those who pre-registered at the last minute! We’ve already had feedback that the venue has taken bookings and suppliers too have consultations and bookings for dates as early as August 2017 and beyond! It really is the best thing to hear that couples found exactly what they were looking for.

Thank you to everyone who visited us and made it such a wonderful day!

Top Table Inspiration

The top table display featured work by three of my preferred suppliers namely – Modern Heritage Styling, The Cake Story and Lisa Jayne Creative who came together to create a beautiful metallic and rose gold display with blush table runners, metallic lanterns, personalised favours, the most stunning of wedding cakes and the prettiest of table stationery. Florals were kindly provided by Sophie’s Flower Company.

The Walled Garden At Beeston Fields Spring Wedding Fair Highlights

What a fabulous day we had at The Walled Garden at Beeston Fields Wedding Fair in April.

A fabulous turn out (over 400 people!) meant the gorgeous marquee was buzzing and we were still going at closing time! Visitors were warmly welcomed with a glass of fizz and canapés courtesy of the super venue team at The Walled Garden and a Buckinghams Gift Bag for registered brides with treats from John Lewis and NEXT.  Over 25 fabulous wedding suppliers were in attendance and the super fun Geoff Kirby Photography captured the day for us (thank you Geoff!) so I’m pleased to have some some great photos to share with you. The forecast had been for rain but the sun brightly shone for most of the day meaning Annette in the ice cream van by Elite Candy Carts was kept busy. Dorset Marmalade was Brian’s favourite, Jess from Shade Bridal enjoyed a Salted Caramel but my fave was definitely Mango – delicious! Toe tapping entertainment was provided by the fantastic Paul Martyn (Sax, DJ & Vocals) & Jazz & Cocktails whilst our favourite magician, The Trixta, once again had some hilarious tricks up his sleeve.

One of my favourite bits of the day was every bride who literally gasped as they walked into the marquee. ‘Oh it’s gorgeous’ was heard several times over. ‘It looks amazing’ said another. The Walled Garden really is a cracking venue within the most romantic of settings. Helen at Cliff’s Cushions did a fabulous job with the bunting and ribboned ceiling and what with the beautiful chandeliers, gorgeous gardens and great atmosphere we really did have a super day. Thank you to those of you who have written to say what a lovely day you had – I hope you found your dress, cake, flowers, styling and lots more and many congratulations to those of you who booked your venue!

We are excited to be back at The Walled Garden for our next fair on Sunday 17 September 2017. If you would like priority notice of when the registration opens then email me at

So a massive thank you to The Walled Garden for having us, the amazing suppliers who exhibited and to every bride, groom, maid, mum, dad, friend and bestie who came to see us. I hope you enjoy the photos!

This Is Why We Really Do Love Extra Special Wedding Suppliers

This Is Why We Really Do Love Extra Special Wedding Suppliers

When we say our wedding fairs are extra special….

…we really mean it! Look at these fabulous photographs from the amazing Sarah Illingworth at Mirror Imaging Photography, Nottingham, taken at our Spring Wedding Fair at Norwood Park this year. Sarah kindly captured for us a smidgen of the twenty-five plus suppliers we had exhibiting at this stunning Southwell venue. As always her photographs are a dream to receive in my inbox. You’d be crazy crackers not to get in touch with these lovely people so I’ve added links to their websites below. You will also find many of them in our Wedding Hub so find them, follow them and send them a message if you’d like to talk dates and prices. If you’ve already found your significant suppliers then simply sit back and wowser at the sheer loveliness!

Contact these suppliers

Don’t forget to mention me or Buckinghams when you call these folks – they may have something special on offer for Buckinghams brides!

Walk Around The Walled Garden Wedding Fair, Beeston Fields (Video)

Last Sunday Saw Us Fill A Tent With Beautiful Wedding Inspiration

If you missed it then check out the iPhone video I took of the gorgeous fair last Sunday at The Walled Garden Beeston Fields. I definitely need to practice my videoing skills although I’m pretty happy I taught myself how to add the credits at the end! I’ll walk around much more slowly on the next event so you don’t get seasick!!!

There were 30 amazing stands at the event and amazingly the sun shone after a week’s forecast of rain – perfect for a venue with such a pretty garden.

Over 150 brides attended with their Grooms, families, maids and friends. It was a super day and we are looking forward to organising the next one on Sunday 17th September. Registration will be open soon – I’ll email you when it’s available and you can get booked in. Anyhoo – I hope you like the video. Watch until the end for a list of the suppliers.
