A Stapleford Park Wedding for Shade Bridal

A Stapleford Park Wedding For Shade Bridal

Grace’s Choice of Wedding Dress for her Stunning Stapleford Park Wedding.

Our lovely bride Grace was recently married to her best friend Andrew at Stapleford Park in Leicestershijre. The choice of dress reflected the dreamy perfection of the venue. We love it here at Shade Bridal when a bride comes in and tirelessly strives for the vision of their dress. Grace knew exactly what she wanted. She found what she was looking for and her ideas of bespoke additions to the dress became our mission as well as hers.

The dress journey was shared by her three sisters and her mum, all of whom helped to create her final look. Each of them were on hand for ideas, comments and encouragement. It made the fittings we had with Grace a fun and engaging atmosphere.

Grace chose to wear bridal separates from Watters, which is a good way to achieve a design that’s just right. The skirt was in Rum Pink tulle and we made her a bespoke bow to go on the back with a veil to match. The bodice was a strapless bustier of cream and ivory, hand beaded and ribboned. And although you can’t see them she wore a pair of Christian Louboutin leopard print shoes.

Grace’s sisters were her bridesmaids of course, and they all wore dresses that Grace had found online. The flowers – a simple collection of pale yellows and creams were made especially for her by Sophie’s Flowers.

There was one special friend that Grace wanted at her wedding too, but her mum kept his appearance as a surprise! The very excited Bertie couldn’t believe his luck in being invited to his mum’s wedding! And there are those shoes!

Bertie appeared in a few of the official photos too.

The weather was its usual unpredictable British self, as with most weddings, there was a moment or two when the bride and groom could take a stroll in the grounds on their own, hand in hand for some photos.

The evening was a bustling party for all and Grace and her sisters took time out to have their group photo taken by Kimberley Hill Photography, and at the same time, have a bit of a rest. I wonder if Grace still has those shoes on?!

And finally there was a first dance both inside and out.

Holly’s Barn Wedding With Wedding Dress From Shade Bridal

Real Bride at Hazel Gap Barn

Our bride Holly married Nick at the lovely Hazel Gap Barn in Nottinghamshire. They had quite a blustery day and had a laugh in the wind, with everything from Holly’s veil to confetti flying all around them!

Holly wore an under-stated ivory dress with no ‘bling’. Her veil and floral crown added to a lovely romantic look.

Like lots of our brides, Holly wanted a romantic dress that was light and easy to wear. Because we specialise in soft silks and French laces we were able to give Holly the dress she wanted from the start of her searching. Her dress was designed by Linea Raffaelli, a Belgian design house, and she found it on our sale rail!

Rosy & Tom’s Nottingham City Wedding

Our bride Rosy was married last Saturday to Tom in the heart of Nottingham. She chose our lovely Eleanor dress from the French Collection, a dreamy lace and silk tulle gown with no ‘bling’ in champagne and ivory. It was the perfect match to her veil, which was the starting point for her dress choosing last year.

Her veil was very special. Made from Nottingham lace, her great grandmother had first worn it in 1935. Rosy’s grandmother then wore it at her wedding, followed by Rosy’s mum and then, finally, Rosy herself! And they were all married at the stunning St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market.

After the ceremony the bride and groom strolled through the city bathed in sunshine to reach the historic Nottingham City council building in Market Square for their reception. They were applauded by passers-by as they went!

Wendy Makin Gown For Real Bride Lizzie From Shade Bridal Nottingham

Gorgeous Wendy Makin gown for a country wedding in Nottinghamshire.

Our lovely Shade Bridal bride Lizzie got married last weekend and looked so elegant in her bridal gown from Wendy Makin. We added a silk bow to the back of the dress and Lizzie chose a full length veil to complete her look. This stunning veil is from Richard Designs and works with so many of our dresses. Her hair vine was made specially for us by Love 2 Sparkle and added a delicate finishing touch. A country wedding followed with celebrations at Sutton Bonington Hall, Nottinghamshire.
